Wordful Wednesday ~ The Twisted Ones

Today my little poem
Is about the twisted ones
They make village life so interesting
And they make it so much fun

The two that I am speaking of
Are Diana and Marcy
They keep us laughing all the time
With their merriment and glee

Marcy so good and so kind
Keeps us smiling with her jokes
Diana with her dry wit
Makes me laugh until I choke

Marcy is tattling on poor Jackie
For something she did not even do
Diana is changing days of the week
And confusing me and you!

Things fell apart when Bernie left
To visit with friends and family
The mayhem then abounded
And began to grow so merrily!

Teresa blogged a village poem
And everyone chimed in
A verse from here, a verse from there
Made us feel as if we're kin

Wanda tried her best to keep everyone in check
But what was she to do?
With Bernie gone she was 'on her own'
Trying to reign in this mischievous crew!

Now we welcome Bernie back to our fold
With our arms open wide
And we celebrate her safe return
And hope that she can guide

This village needs some peace and calm
And just a bit of normalcy
Our dear twisted sisters have run amok
But without them, where would we be?

Big hugs to Marcy and Diana!

Welcome Home, Bernie!

Villagers, if I didn't mention your name, it's only because my poetry is lame (seriously, my mind was turning to mush, the only thing I could think to rhyme with Jerelene was 'kerosene')!

Happy Wordful Wednesday everyone!

  2. I didn't think that your poetry was lame at all Eileen. As a matter of fact I think that you are really good at it! Sometimes I can do it and sometimes not. It just depends on the day and the inspiration!
You did a fine, fine job Eileen!

  3. I'm still loving the kerosene and Jerelene rhyme...think you could have gone somewhere with that one!

You did a great job here, oh poetess! It's time you let loose this talent! But this was a snitching poem so it can't get a 10, maybe a 9 1/2.

    blessings and hugs,

    marcy

  4. So good Eileen...poems from both you and me!
First, let me thank you the comment you left me earlier...You made me cry Eileen.

Your poem is so clever...you managed to sum up our goings on while Bernie was away.
Marcy and Diana will forever be known as the Twisted Sisters by me!
I so enjoy coming here to your village place and Marcy's...to visit and talk to all the others since I don't post every day. Sometimes I think of changing to shorter more often posts...just to communicate daily with all of you neighbors!

    Smiles and Hugs to everyone!

  5. Eileen...a poet and didn't know it. Good job.
I couldn't have woven in as many names as you did...You are a trooper!
    Smiles,
    Jackie

  7. Becky, thanks for stopping by! Looking forward to future posts from you!

Diana, thank you! 'Hope you and Marcy don't mind the term 'twisted sisters', it's given with LOVE!

Marcy, how could I let Bernie know about all she missed without letting her know who started it?

Wanda, I enjoyed your post so much today, as I do everyday, really.
I wish you would post a little something each day or a few times a week, just to let us know what you're up to each day. You might think your days are boring but I don't!
And look at all the boring stuff I post all the time!
Seriously, whatever you're interested in on any given day, blog about it, we're probably just as interested!

Thanks, Jackie, it was fun, and the 'twisted sisters' make it so easy!

Gail, if you comment here you are an official villager! As is anyone who comments on any one of us, or on your blog for that matter! The more the merrier! If you want to be a member of the village, you're a member! The only requirement is that you have to put up with us!

Okay, I'm running around like a chicken without a head today! So let me just wish you all a wonderful rest of the week and a wonderful weekend too because I don't think I'll be posting over the next few days!

    LOVE TO EVERYONE!!

  10. That's really good Eileen!! I kind of like that I rhyme with kerosene...it's original:)
OK..who is Bernie? We've not met..and I've not met Teresa either..I'll have to check this out.
It's almost 11:00 p.m. here and I just now finished in the kitchen. I'll try to do a quick post with a couple of pictures. I thought I'd better stop by and say Hi!!
    Love, Jerelene

  11. Yeah I guess you wouldn't want to make a poem from Jerelene and Kerosene! I wonder how long it took you to write that poem. If I tried something like that I'd be working on it for weeks!
