God's Blessings!

Jayden came running into the house this evening, "Umma, come look! Come look! Come look at this rainbow!"
He was very, very excited, he didn't even wait for me to catch up, he was back out the door. Jayden had never seen a rainbow before and it was such fun to see his excitement. It really was a big, beautiful rainbow and I called to Ray to get the camera and Jayden shouted, "Get mine too!"

It stretched from one side of the street...

...to way past the other side of the street.

This was the view of the sky looking down our block, facing East...

...and this is the view of the sky facing West.

Thank you, God.

  4. What a beautiful sky Eileen and how exciting, Jayden seeing his first rainbow. Firsts are so, so special! I think I might try and get outside this weekend myself if it's not too hot. I haven't paid much attention to the weather. Well I am off to watch "Haunted" with Kate. Nice photos Eileen!

  8. Wow, your sky even looks different than ours. I've never quite seen a rainbow like that either. What state are you in?

  9. Wow! I was just on my way up to bed and decided to check in here first and was shocked to see so many visitors! This is nice!

Glad you all enjoyed it, the pictures don't really do it justice, and I don't think Jayden's toy camera did any better! I think Ray might have another one on his laptop I'll try to get and post sometime if it's better than these.

Good night, everyone! Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, and Jill, we live in New York!

  13. On the one hand, it's too bad the weather cut into some of your plans....on the other, without the rain, Jayden wouldn't have seen his first rainbow. So fitting that you would end this post saying, "Thank you, God."

  14. Eileen! Our little Brooklyn was also facinated by a rainbow a couple of days ago, we were in the car and she kept telliny Huhoney to get closer and follow the rainbow, so he did for a while, it was fun to see her reaction when the rainbow kept getting further away and changing courses! Beautiful pics!

  17. Missing you...and "picking up" from some comments that you aren't feeling well. I pray for you as I write, friend. Whatever the cause, may it pass along with any discomfort or pain.

  19. Good for Jayden...I love rainbows too. I've seen two this summer so far, and I know I'll spy more. A full bow is such a treat!

I hope you feel better soon.
