Holy Saturday ~ We Wait

Holy Saturday is a day of joy and sadness intermingled. It is the close of Lent and the beginning of Paschal time. Holy Saturday is the in-between day, a milestone moment, the past is gone, the future Promise not yet fulfilled. At one time in the Church Holy Saturday was known as Great Saturday or Grand Saturday, named so in anticipation for the Glorious Fulfillment of God’s Promise to us. The heart is hopeful and eager, expectation is high, realization and achievement still to come.

And I'm SO ready for the joy of Easter Mass tomorrow!
