Jayden's Third Year ~ Another Blessed Year

Oh, this boy!

When asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Jayden would answer, "A fooder!" (waiter)

Still having fun with wash baskets!

And a new little person enters his world ~ Mia Rose

Visiting Pop-Pop (my Dad was on hospice care the last four months of his life).
The day before my Dad passed Jayden said to me, "Pop-Pop is going to Heaven." We had been talking about it for awhile, trying to prepare Jayden and I said that yes, Pop-Pop was sick and would soon go to Heaven. Jayden said, "Pop-Pop is going to Heaven tomorrow." I thought he must have misunderstood something that was said so I asked him who told him that, and he responded "Mom-Mom told me, and Far-Far". My Mom (Mom-Mom to Jayden) had passed away eighteen months earlier, and Ray's Dad (Far-Far) had passed away before Jayden was born.

"Umma, I don't like this!"

This is better!

Calverton Cemetery where Ray's Dad is buried.

Napping with Uncle Brian

"OW!!!" "Umma, it's not funny!"

Will the real Captain Jack Sparrow please reveal himself?

He still liked using my cloth baskets to hide in!

Baking Christmas Cookies

A love affair with all things 'StarWars'!

Ringing in another New Year!

Happy Birthday, Three-Year-Old!

Thank You, God!

  1. Loved the photos of Jayden on the boat pointing, the one with Mia pulling his hair and the mischievious look of the last.

  2. How could you not love that little munchkin?! Didn't he ever scare you when hiding in those baskets, wondering where he went to? And again Eileen, I love the nap photos only this time you were double tired! I admire your energy, I don't know that I could have handled all of that! You did a fine job. You are a wonderful Umma!
    Love Di ♥

  5. Every time I see these and read your commentary, my heart just wells up, Eileen. How precious! Loved every word, every picture.

He really is a super little boy, and he is much, MUCH more handsome than the other Jack Sparrow (those he's pretty cute!), and I love that he enjoyed the pirates on my blog.

You tell Jayden that he was the only one that figured out the sequence of the Viking ship. Someone asked me if the tail was a green witch's hat. LOL! So Jayden got it right!

    Love you...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  6. Jayden and Mia look like brother and sister, and they seem so close. The pictures are so good, I could look at this happy child forever. He will grown up to be a kind and loving man I'm sure, and why not....all he has known is love.....:-)Hugs

You ought to frame that picture of Mia and Jayden sleeping on you. LOVE that.
