Friday Favorites

My favorites this week:

This Rosary and Rosary case that I picked up at a Church sale for twenty-five cents! As soon as I saw this rusted old case I had to give it a home.

This old cabinet we picked up at a warehouse in our area that sells both fine antiques and the not-so-fine antiques (which is what I love best!). We use it in our back porch room to store paper goods, plastic utensils, and sunscreen.

These are just a few of the seashells we've collected. These sit on a shelf under a glass-topped coffee table outside on our back deck.

My last favorite this week is something I love to eat in the summer. A bowl of blueberries and blackberries. For some odd reason I do not enjoy eating blueberries by themselves, and I do not enjoy eating blackberries by themselves, but when I mix them together I love them! And if I put whipped cream on top I love them even more!

Weekend Forecast:
Well, I'm pretty much on my own this weekend. Saturday morning Ray will be golfing with his brother Donald and our son Erik, and then he has to work all night Saturday night, so I don't think he'll be raring to go when he walks in the door Sunday morning.
I think I'll just do something boring like organize my spring/summer clothes and clean out my bedroom. And I think the weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend so I'm definitely going to try and spend some time outdoors too! I may try to tackle painting a few pieces of furniture if I feel ambitious, but I think I'll most likely opt to spend my free time relaxing on the back deck with a book and a glass of iced tea!
Anybody have any interesting plans this weekend? Tell me all about it!
Diana, you have your daughter's graduation, right? Enjoy!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. So, if I get rusted enough, you will take me home too? I'm still delighted that you treasure these things that others might consider garbage worthy...thank goodness God doesn't do that with us, but He, like you, treasures us with all our rust spots!!!
I will have plenty of black raspberries as well as some blueberries this summer...wanna come over? I'll even whip up some cream!

    blessings,

    marcy

p.s. Pls tell Ray to give you an extra hug because you're just so darned cute!
