In Japan rescue workers heard a cry. At first they thought they were hearing things, but then they heard it again, and they began digging through the debris, and found a four-month-old baby girl.
She had been swept from the arms of her mother during the tsunami, and she was missing for three days. Miraculously, she survived the surge, and then she went on to survive the cold weather without food and without water. I heard that some in the news media are dubbing her "Hope".
The soldiers of the Japanese Defense Force said her discovery has put a new energy into the search which had become so disheartening for them.
I'm praying for the people of Japan, that they may have a great many more miracles in store.

ReplyDeleteOh I heard this story Eileen. I thought it was just a miracle. I know they are still finding people. God bless their efforts! Love Di ♥
ReplyDeleteI saw the story too, Eileen and was touched. I have a friend who is waiting the arrival of her daughter and infant grandchild from Tokyo...the Japanese husband will stay behind for now. The child's well-being is their main concern.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful post Eileen, and this is truly a miracle! Hope! In such time of devastation. I am praying for more miracles! Perhaps Faith and Charity will follow!!!!

That mother must feel as if her baby had been risen from the dead. What an unexpected blessing to have the baby back after 3 days thinking she had been swept away!!
