HI EILeen -
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - wow! :-) And I will go and visit "Doodles by Lauren".
One of my cousins, "Nicky" was born six months before me. We grew up very close and the best of friends. As little kids we played together all the time - our Mom's are sisters and they were very close and still are!! :-) When our family visited over to Nicky's house he and I played on his go-cart. He would say, "pishe me first and then it will be your turn"!! I always pushed him first and then when I got in the go-cart he wold run away and not push me. I fell for his 'kid-promise' too many times to say - funny huh? He also taught me how to play the drums. As teenagers we hung out, his guy friends, my girl friends. It was so much fun. AND - his older sister, Patty - was/is best friends with my older sister!! SO ya, I SO get the cousin-friend thing. :-) Thanks for jolting me down memory lane.
Love to you
Gail
peace,,,,,
Beautiful pictures, Eileen...
ReplyDeleteSuch love is shown in each and every one.
You have a gift with your camera...
Hi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteI loved your post today. I was thinking about cousins, and strangely enough, I never really got to know any of mine, as they all lived in the U.S., I grew up in Canada. Jayden is such a loving little boy.
Oh I love this post, I have so many cousins and there are 4 I am very close to, almost like sisters to me.....your photo's are beautiful, big hugs to Jayden and Mia and have a wonderful weekend.....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteLovely post Eileen. And so true! I have many fond memories with my cousin's and it looks as though Jayden and Mia will too. It was sweet seeing Jayden being so loving, you are doing a wonderful job Eileen! Love Di
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet pictures! Jayden and Mia are very close and that is precious! I especially like the one of him with his arms around her....too cute!! What sweet little ones!!
ReplyDeleteLove you...Jerelene
They look more like siblings than cousins. And they both look so much like their Umma!
ReplyDeleteHi Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteWow I can't believe that home would be worth so much where you are! It is soooo lovely!
I LOVE this post, Eileen. It just makes my heart smile and think of all that is good and right in this crazy mixed up world we live in!
If only we could be as free as children in showing love for each other. Thanks for snapping and sharing these adorable pics!!
Love ya,
Becky
Wonderful reminders about the relationships we have been blessed to enjoy as family! Though distance and time may separate cousins, your post has encouraged me to pursue and maintain communication with those who share this special bond with me - and to create opportunities for future enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteWell Eileen it has happened again...my comment is not here...It should be between Jill and Becky's...
ReplyDeleteI just spoke of knowing myself how wonderful the feeling is for you to see your grandchildren together like that. Jayden and Mia will always be close...Grant and Katie who were born 2 weeks apart and whom I babysat together are still so close now at almost 17.
I love your "sweet dreams" photo...it says it all!!!
Smiles always,
Wanda
Thanks so much, everyone for visiting and for your nice comments, and for sharing your stories of your family too! I love that!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Wanda, about the commenting problem! I know it's frustrating, it's been happening to me too on Jackie's blog and on a few of the home decorating blogs I go to! And then I lose my thought of what I wanted to say.
Sometimes I can't be sure if a comment took or not because they don't show up right away, but even later when I go to look it's not there anywhere. Oh well, what can you do?
I appreciate your persistence!
It's funny you mentioned the 'sweet dreams' photo because something Bernie said made me think of that and I'll be posting on it tomorrow or Tuesday.
'Gotta run to church now.
Have a great Sunday, everyone!
Love,
Eileen
What a lovely post Eileen! I am going to send these quotes to my cousins ♥ I loved your pictures. I hope you have a beautiful and blessed day....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Loved this post.
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing to say. This is what life is about. BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOU for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThere's certainly a lot of love going around here. How wonderful and fortunate you are Eileen. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the pictures, they're some of my favorites too!
Carol, I'm glad you liked the quotes too. And I did have a good day today, thanks!
Pam, thanks for comments here and on my previous post, and I'm glad you decided to decorate, I can understand how you feel, having lost a loved one, and one so young, it takes the heart out of you for a long, long while.
But I think it's important to do little normal things, a gift not only to your own soul, but an affirmation too I think of the love we shared with those gone now. I wish you all the best, Pam.
Donna, I agree, this is what really matters in life. Thanks for visiting.
Have a good week everyone.
Love, Eileen
Oh, Simone, I must have been commenting at the same time as you!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Simone, I am very fortunate!
And I'm fortunate to have met so many nice people through blogging. Thanks for stopping in and you have a wonderful week too!
What a cute painting. I just love those poems for cousins you posted. So sweet. Have a nice evening Eileen.
